The Hidden Talents of Bulgaria has officially started!

The grand opening of “The Hidden Talents of Bulgaria”, the new year-round mentoring program of NGO “Operation Teddy Bear” took place last Saturday at the hall of SoHo co-working space in Sofia. This new program has the goal of developing the talents of creative youngsters from unprivileged backgrounds and paving a road to success for all of them. All 8 participants of “The Hidden Talents of Bulgaria” as well as our sponsors, partners and friends met and got acquainted during the event.

The hall was decorated with watercolor, pencil and crayon paintings by two of the gifted teenagers from the program. They will pursue their dream of getting a career in the spheres of 3D animation and design and modern design. Asen Rashkov, our Bulgarian traditional singer, who was a semi-finalist at “Bulgaria’s Got Talent”, sang a traditional song and played the tarambuka for our friends. Another one of our children, Kristian Kalinov, who has also participated in the same reality show with his dance group “Petlite”, invited all the guests to join him in a traditional Bulgarian dance – horo. Kris has been dancing for the past 8 years and with the help of professionals for the next three years he will be preparing to pass the exams and start studying choreography in university. All medals and diplomas won by our three sportsmen from Vidin were also exhibited during the event.

The famous traditional Bulgarian singer, Binka Dobreva, who is one of the voices from The Great Bulgarian Voices shared her experience working with Asen, our singer and thanked our sponsors and partners for the help to provide him with a better future.

Representatives from “One World” Foundation, Henkel Beauty Care Bulgaria, Kangoo Club Bulgaria, iSTeam, Dronamics, Dreamix and Netpeak were given diplomas and “Thank you” letters from our team. All of them had the honor to personally meet “The Hidden Talents of Bulgaria”.

Kinga Sebastian, founder Kangoo Club Bulgaria, demonstrated to our friends what her sport is all about. Thanks to Kangoo Jump instructors around the country who united together with their students, Kango Club Bulgaria gathered a rather sizable donation for the program.
